Photographing real people "doing their thing" just makes me happy. Human beings are endlessly fascinating, and the world we inhabit is both beautiful and absurd. Documenting people making their way through this crazy existence must be one of the best jobs anybody could have. In the twenty years since beginning my photography career back in Chicago, I've learned the importance of connecting with my subjects and keeping my eyes open for those fleeting moments that tell a story and convey emotion. I love collaborating with creative teams and finding ways of translating ideas and feelings into visual language. While I understand and embrace the complexity of production, I always remain grounded in the documentary tradition: travel light, have a plan, and be in the moment.
Thank you for visiting my web site, please don’t hesitate to reach out wherever you are: maybe I can help you tell your story, too.
